MML Policies

The MML is designated for School of Music students. If you are not enrolled in the School of Music but are taking music courses, fill out an ACCESS FORM and return it to John Lato. A login and password will be setup for you by the Proctor on duty. If you are not enrolled in a music course then you will not be granted MML privelidges.

Due to student over use a strict no-use policy has been established for the lab telephone:

No student is to use the telephone unless they need to contact the ITS Helpdesk 232-0900.

No food or open drink containers are allowed in the MML.

Since this is a working lab, please turn all cell phones and pagers off or set to vibrate. if you need to make a call or receive a call, please be courteous and leave the lab while you talk in a boisterous fashion.

If you have a lot of work to do for a class, please be aware that the lab closes and does not stay open all night. At the end of semesters, a great number of people want to use a few machines for long periods of time. Computers are used on a first come first serve basis.

The Digital Audio workstations are for digital audio work. The Film Editing Station is for film editing. If they are not in use, you may use them as any other machine in the lab. If somebody needs to use one, then you will be asked to vacate the computer even if all other computers in the lab are occupied. Failure to do so will result in revoked lab privelidges.
