WELCOME
The Music Microcomputing Lab (MML), loacted in the School of Music at The University of Texas at Austin, serves the computing needs of the School of Music and College of Fine Arts. Under the direction of John Lato, this lab provides sound computing technology answers for comprehensive teaching and learning in the fine arts. The MML currently has 25 individual work stations with MIDI controllers and audio devices; 2 PC/MAC workstations for cross platform projects; 2 full audio stations with Protools and digital input and output of Digital Audio Tapes, Minidisc, and CD; and 1 video editing station with Final Cut Pro that features MiniDV, High8, High8 Digital, and analog video inputs.

In addition, each workstation is comprised of various software designed to aid in score reproduction, word processing, graphic design, dynamic webdesign, file transfer protocols, and basic internet functions. The MML is currently updating the lab to support OS X.
